The Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services Department is a volunteer organization made up of 110 firefighters who all work together to create an efficient and high-quality emergency service. With a dedication to prevention, education, and emergency response, it is Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services’ goal to be high-performing, progressive, and visionary in the provision of emergency services within our community.

Station Locations

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services consist of five stations, 110 firefighters and 16 apparatus. 

Open Air Burns

Permission to burn outside the urban boundary will be provided on an annual basis and can be processed through an online fillable form on the Town’s website.

In the event the applicant does not have access to the online form, the applicant can call the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake Customer Service Department or Fire & Emergency Services at 905-468-3266 prior to having a controlled open-air burn. (Offices are open Mon. to Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Residential burning is not allowed.

Residents are reminded that contravention of the Municipal Open Air Burn Guideline can result in cost recovery by the Fire Department in accordance with the Fee Schedule.
