Functional Parking Analysis
of the Commercial Core of the
Queen-Picton Heritage Conservation District Planning/Development Home
The goals and objective of the Functional Parking Analysis are to:
1. Create a parking environment that:
- Supports the economic viability of the downtown;
- Encourages visitors and residents to shop/eat/stay/or work in the downtown;
- Is flexible to enable downtown businesses and building owners to respond to
changing markets;
- Provides parking rules and regulations that are understandable and easy to
implement;
- Ensures that there is sufficient and accessible supply of parking; and
- Includes appropriate parking standards.
2. Improve the overall satisfaction of residents and tourists visiting the Old Town
relative to parking.
3. Recommend appropriate solutions to improve parking in the Old Town.
