Workshop #1 at Riverbrink

Workshop #1

Saturday, February 23
10:30 am – Robin Nisbet – Exploring Colour

Cost: $35

*All materials included

Choosing colours to work with in your paintings can be a daunting and overwhelming part of the creative process. Work with instructor Robin Nisbet to explore colour theory basics and get a handle on how and when to work with warm and cool tones. This workshop will guide you in the ways to control and shift colours to change the mood of your work. You will also learn how to successfully intensify colours to create richer, more dynamic and interesting work.

Robin began her career as a graphic artist, but in 2011 decided to pursue her passion for art by returning to school. In June of 2018, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Brock University. As part of the Honours program, she was part of a group of students that were given studio space at Rodman Hall Art Centre. The year of studio work culminated in a group exhibition in April of 2017.  Robin has been teaching graphic design, visual art and painting since 2012. Her work has been juried into several shows, and can be found in private collections in Canada, England and Germany.
